Room hirer frequently asked questions

We are excited to share that City of Adelaide is investing in improvements to its Community Centre and Library Room Hire service and will soon experience a new improved online room booking system called Bookable. This new system will make it easier and quicker for you to navigate, book, manage and pay for the rooms you hire, improving your overall experience and accessibility.

We can’t wait to share the new booking system with you and appreciate your understanding and cooperation while we work behind the scenes during this transition period to bring it live to you.

To help guide you through the transition we have put together a list of frequently asked questions.

When will the new system be available to the public?

The aim is for the new booking system to be available from 9 September 2024.

Will I still be able to make new bookings during the transition period?

The migration to the new booking system will take place between 18 August 2024 to 9 September 2024. During this period, the room booking system will not be available and we will be unable to receive new booking requests. However, all confirmed bookings can proceed in our centres as per normal.

If you would like to make a new booking request for a date that falls within this transition period, please ensure that your request is submitted no later than 18 August 2024.

If you would like to make a new booking that falls outside this transition period (18 August 2024 to 9 September 2024), please do so via the new booking system when it is live (which is from 9 September 2024 onwards)

Will there be any impacts to my existing bookings?

All existing bookings in our current system will be automatically transferred to the new system and honoured, so you don’t need to do anything further.

If you need to make changes to your existing booking that falls within this transition period, where possible advise us prior to 18 August. Thereafter contact the centre your booking is at for any changes.

    To view your existing bookings, please refer to the Room Booking confirmation email you would have received from us. Alternatively, please contact the centre for assistance.
