Recipe for pear, oat and maple slice
Preparation time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 35 minutes | Serves 6
- 1 small pear, peeled, cored and fine diced
- 2 ½ cups oats
- ½ cup plain flour
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- ½ cup oat milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp maple syrup, to serve
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a slice pan
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients
- In a medium sized jug, whisk all the remaining ingredients except for the pear and maple syrup
- Pour the liquid into the bowl and stir to combine. Stir through pears
- Pour into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until cooked when tested
- Remove from oven and brush with maple syrup while warm. Cool completely before cutting into slices
