Megan Hender
Megan Hender (1960-) was elected as a Central Ward Councillor of the City of Adelaide in 2010 and served a second term from 2014-2018, including 18 months as Deputy Lord Mayor.
Hender sat on the Reconciliation Committee and the Committee for Emergency Risk Management, served as Chair of the City Culture and Community Services Committee, was a member of the Public Art Round Table, the Council representative on the Adelaide Central Market Authority and a member State Government Capital City Committee.
A lawyer by training, she worked as a solicitor, a university lecturer and a senior manager in an international law firm before opening her own management consulting business in 2002 focusing on strategy, risk and communication.
Hender has served on numerous Boards including the Adelaide Festival, the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Dame Roma Mitchell Trust Fund, and the South Australian Leaders. She Chairs the GOGO Foundation and Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers.
