Dislikes

• Forgetting his Santagram password, bad lighting, un-festive weather, Rudolph-red eyes, elves photo-bombing, losing SD cards, paying for snoCloud.

Santa the Spy

Likes

• Playing Eye Spy, Jason Bourne, elf encryption, candy cane code, carrots for night vision, disguising himself as his alias - Dumbledore, milk shaken (not stirred), stealth-sleigh, walkie talkies, his head-elf - M.

Dislikes

• Sleigh-lag, tripping on lego, incognito mode, getting tangled in tinsel, curious cats, his getaway reindeer dashing off, broken Santacoms, declaring carrots at customs, snitches.

Santa the Navigator

Likes:

• Giving directions, being a back-seat driver, sleigh snacks, good tunes, the number plate game, new sleigh smell, road-trips.

Dislikes:

• Losing GPS signal, finding a big enough park for a sleigh, air traffic jams, the check-sleigh light, reversing whilst carols are playing, reindeer road rage, sleigh fines.

Santa the Curator

Likes:

• Pinterest, the MET Gala, Michael Bublé’s Christmas hits, fabric swatches, toy conventions, Anna Wintour, Christmas in July.

Dislikes:

• People changing their minds, copycats, dupes, Furbies, tinsel getting tangled, spilled glitter.

Santa the Chatterbox

Likes:

• Late-night talk shows, star signs, getting to know telemarketers, stand-up comedy, his pet social butterflies, rambling.

Dislikes:

• Noise-cancelling headphones, awkward silences, small talk, doom scrolling, quiet elves, being shushed.

Santa the Suit

Likes:

• Spreadsheets, checking things twice, extra sugar in his coffee, referring Santa the Slacker to HR, his red tie.

Dislikes:

• The ATO, the phrase “Happy Monday”, meetings that could’ve been emails, late elves, forgetting to save his work.

Santa the Wrapper

Likes:

• Sticky tape, Origami, Officeworks, the Arias, wrap-battles, Kanye North, pass the parcel, re-using wrapping paper.

Dislikes:

• Getting mistaken for a rapper, people who use gift bags, forgetting the card, the taste of lickable envelopes, sticky tape sticking to itself, accidentally leaving the pricetag on.

Santa the Slacker

Likes:

• Mocktails, putting his ‘Out of Office’ on, Boxing Day, duty-free, delegating tasks, drifting off, having his camera off during Teams meetings.

Dislikes:

• Sharks, losing his snoPods, flight delays, red-eye flights, luggage weight limits, fitting his Santa sack into the overhead locker, timesheets.

Santa the Snacker

Likes:

• Cookies, candy-canes, throwing an extra snag on the barbie, eggnog, bottomless brunch, snow cones, free samples, Masterchef.

Dislikes:

• When the dishwasher’s full, frozen meals, food comas, crumbs in his beard, broccoli, fruit cake, messy foods.

Santa the Classic

If you’re wondering why he’s stuck to the front of Federal Hall, his physio said it’d be good for his back. This comes as no surprise after the many years he’s spent sitting in the sleigh and lugging a sack around. Though Santa the Classic is semi-retired, he always looks forward to coming to Adelaide for his annual Christmas appearance. He enjoys keeping a watchful eye on the city, reminiscing on old traditions, and seeing new ones come to life each year.
